I would love a grocery store app from you guys with a barcode scanner please
Living in the UK means many of your listed companies and items are not available to me. The option to only show products available in Uk would be really helpful
Add a way we can upload a photo in the scan area. I sometimes take a screenshot of an item’s ingredients which I’m looking at online, because I mostly don’t sit and scan everything in the store. I either can’t find this feature or think it would be beneficial, especially for those that primarily order items online without setting foot in a store and don’t have that item (looking to purchase an item they’ve never used before).
I would like to be able to take a picture of an ingredient list and have the results without having to enter every single product.
We need prices We can’t buy stuff if we don’t know the price Can we ????
I want to be able to just search the list of ingredients, without adding the item in the database cz I might not know the barcode. And also not searching ingredient one by one, just search a list of ingredients I find in online items
I pay for this subscription to enjoy the full benefits of it. Long ago, I emailed back and forth with someone from the company letting them know that several of the products have incomplete ingredient lists- marking dirty products as clean. They stopped responding before even assuring me that there would be a resolution! If we are paying for this app, it should be 100% accurate for our SAFETY. Accuracy is the most important thing for all of us. PLEASE FIX THIS! Thank you.
Hello, I signed up for Premium trial from iPhone. I barely used it to check for one or two items after subscription and I didn't feel it is needed. However, I lost my iPhone a week ago and I tried cancellation from my Android but wasn't able to. I kindly request you to cancel my subscription and refund the amount to the source. I will really appreciate that. As a feedback, I suggest you to make management of submission available across all platforms.
Most of the products shown I can't purchase because they only ship to the US
I find it very irritating that you want me to pay money to access the information when 80% if the items I try to find, don't scan. The company charges $199, then wants the people paying for it to do the work of entering the required information to be able to get the results they've already paid for.
Requesting light mode display option in the mobile app. Dark mode hurts my eyes. I use an Android phone.
I would like to only go to Amazon if the correct is there. Otherwise I would like to go to the product’s site. Very often the product isn’t on Amazon. Also, the typing feature is difficult. I think it is hard to backspace and tell where you are.
### Overview: I would like to propose adding a new feature to Think Dirty that would allow users to scan product ingredient lists using their device's camera, in addition to the existing barcode scanning functionality. This feature would be similar to those found in apps like Trash Panda and WhatsVegan, enhancing user experience and expanding the app's utility. _____________________________ ### Key Benefits 1. Increased accessibility: Users can quickly analyze products without barcodes or with worn/damaged barcodes. 2. Broader product coverage: Enables analysis of homemade products, bulk items, or products not in the database. 3. Enhanced user engagement: Provides an alternative method for users to interact with the app and learn about ingredients. 4. Competitive edge: Keeps Think Dirty on par with or ahead of similar apps in the market. _______________________________ ### Potential Implementation Suggestions: 1. Utilize optical character recognition (OCR) technology to convert ingredient list images to text. 2. Integrate with existing ingredient database to analyze and rate products based on the scanned list. 3. Provide real-time feedback on individual ingredients as they are recognized. 4. Allow users to manually edit or correct any misread ingredients. 5. Implement a visual ingredient rating system: Add coloured circles or symbols around each ingredient name: Green for good ingredients Yellow/Orange for uncertain ingredients Red for harmful ingredients Include a small circle with an i icon next to each ingredient When clicked, the i icon opens a pop-up with detailed information: Description of the ingredient Its purpose in the product Explanation of why it's categorized as good, uncertain, or potentially harmful Similar to WhatsVegan's information display system This visual system would enhance user understanding at a glance while providing easy access to in-depth information, improving both the app's educational value and user engagement. _____________________________ ### Potential Challenges: 1. Ensuring accuracy of OCR technology across various packaging types and lighting conditions. 2. Handling variations in ingredient naming conventions and abbreviations. 3. Managing increased server load from image processing and analysis. ______________________________ ### User Experience Considerations: 1. Implement a user-friendly interface for capturing clear images of ingredient lists. 2. Provide clear instructions on how to best photograph ingredient lists for optimal results. 3. Offer a seamless transition between barcode scanning and ingredient list scanning options. I personally believe that this feature would SIGNIFICANTLY enhance Think Dirty's functionality and user satisfaction, keeping the app at the forefront of product ingredient analysis tools.
Just being able to look back on stuff I scanned or looked up. I was trying to show someone a product that was meant for the face but one of the ingredients could cause blindness. It's important to get back to these things
I would like to see adding a place to insert a full ingredient list instead of looking up a product. Sometimes the bar code isn’t on hand and no one has inputted the product yet in the system
I would like to be able to create my own ingredients lists. As for now I can't do separate lists for skincare and haircare. For example I don't want perfumes in my skincare but I want it in my haircare. Also silicones is fine in my skincare but I do not want it in my haircare. If I could create my own lists I would be able to choose what ingredients I don't want to show!
